[RMCProfile-users] [EXTERNAL] Installation error

Hi Supriyo,

That’s an issue with running 64-bit program on 32-bit system. The thing is we only have 64-bit compiling machine these days and I don’t think we can easily get a 32-bit windows machine here on our side to compile the program.

I do have a 32-bit version for the program shown in your screenshot that causes the problem, but I suspect even we get that running, we are still in trouble since all the other executables are compiled on a 64-bit machine. Let me know your thoughts.

Now during setting up RMCProfile a new error is coming, which is due to 32bit system. Please find attached screenshot of the error massage.

Hi Supriyo,

I found where the problem is - it is because you have spaces in your full path where the RMCProfile package is located. I changed the codes a bit to cope with that situation and as usual you can find the package here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/rmcprofile/files/Version_6.7.8/

BTW, you don't need to install fortran compiler to run RMCProfile, but the xming server is indeed needed. Also, I want to mention that RMCProfile package is sort of portable, which means actually when you execute the 'RMCProfile_setup.bat' file, nothing is installed into your computer - the program just runs.

    1. I checked the RMCProfile exe directory and did find 'graphics_server.bat' there in windows distribution. Not sure the procedure you followed to start RMCProfile, so it will be very nice of you if you can share a bit more details about what you did.

    2. I don't think 32-bit windows is supported any more. But I am not sure whether that is the cause of the issue. SO, again, if you can share more details, it will be great. Thank you!
