We have immediate openings for three Postdoctoral Research Associates in applying machine-learning techniques to neutron scattering on one of the following three projects,

1. develop and apply data science approaches to perform rapid and advanced analysis of neutron spectroscopy data. Mentor Yongqiang Cheng, chengy at ornl.gov<mailto:chengy at ornl.gov>

2. develop a machine learning-based workflow for complex phase transition studies with the neutron total scattering data. Mentor Yuanpeng Zhang, zhangy3 at ornl.gov<mailto:zhangy3 at ornl.gov>

3. develop AI-assisted data reduction and analysis algorithms for accurate structure determination with quantum chemical crystallography and study the structural properties of new materials for carbon capture using single crystal X-ray and neutron diffraction.
