Could you please give some tips to obtain a good fitting and lower the residual. Additionally i reduced the system size to N=1488, which allows the maximum distances to be set slighly higher. For the settings above i get the same error. Are the numbers still to high? It seems for me, that the maximum is about 4.0-4.2 angstroms for the maximum distance depending on the system size.<br>

I think the problem is that with such a large max distance (10.0) the number of neighbours being calculated for that atom exceeds the size of the array that stores the neighbour list. If the rubidium really is that mobile, I would be inclined to remove the distance window for that atom (by setting both MNDIST and MXDIST to 0). If you still want the atoms to be prevented from getting closer than 2.0 angstroms apart then you can add the line MINIMUM_DISTANCES :: to the preamble of your file, which has a similar effect to the MNDIST line of the distance window constraint.<br>

small values supported for MXDIST? Maybe there is another reason for<br>
this issue.<br>
